Paul Krugman Joins Chorus Against Obama Plan

No more games just give me the money. I think that's the kicker line from the "Pink" song. Yes, us Harlem and Bronx, NY dudes can figure out ways to use that trillion dollars to build real energy, transportation and water management infrastructure, with some help from LaRouche.

Just issue that money for real infrastructure. Don't piss around, we want $1 trillion issued from the new Reconstruction Finance Commission right now. Just give us the money. For the free enterprise junkies, we can issue contracts for local construction companies to do a lot of the work. Small companies are often better than huge KBR-Halliburton companies because there is more accountability from local management and ownership. Paul Krugman the Nobel Prize winner and columnist for the New York Times, has pulled the plug on Obama. This may be a good thing for us in Harlem and Bronx, New York, because we gotta be cruel to be kind. The "zombie plan" to buy up the toxic waste is ridiculous, and is paid by the tax payers, at the tune of 97-percent, up to and including $1 trillion dollars. It makes the assumption that everything will then magically go back to normal. What a cover-up. We want Obama to succeed, otherwise the USA may be finished. Don't forget to throw Larry Summers, the hedge fund cultist out of the adminstration.

Cruel to be kind,
It means that I love you;
'Bama, we gotta be cruel to be kind.

Come on President Obama, get with the bankruptcy reorganization program, now.

E-Cigs Sighted in the Bronx and the Net

I saw it on TV, on Bronx Channel 12- the E-cig is available in the Bronx, NY. I can't remember the exact store name or address, but it is on Arthur Avenue south of Fordham Rd, in the Belmont section. The electric cigarette is an absolutely fantastic product, where people can enjoy "smoking" and get their nicotine rush to some extent, without actually lighting a cigarette.

The electronic super cigarette can help you quit. It also is a safe and legal way of smoking. The device has a lithium battery. The super e-cig has an atomizing device and a liquid container. This is a new safe smoking experience. It produces a water vapor that is free of tar and side-effects. Apparently, the vapor does have the nicotine in a transparent vapor with no odor. You can smoke in bars, airports and even the office. It comes packaged and ready to go with cartridges that are labeled low, medium and high. It is micro-computer controlled, so it is pretty incredible.

The Fall of General Motors

Lots of factors went into the fall of General Motors.  It may seem far away to the average Bronx and Harlem dude.  If you have a car, you went to Toyota and the other Japanese and Korean manufacturers a long time ago.  The only GM plant in the area, in Tarrytown closed about 10 years ago.  Still, GM did a lot of sick stuff.  The worst was the Madison Avenue styling.  Every year you did not have to have a new sexier looking model.  Ford was doing better with the old "Model T."

Paulson's Swindle

Paulson's swindle has made a second coming, as you can see in the link .  Can the Obama administration be saved?  Is there a way out?

I don't know, people just have to try to get the message to Pres. Obama that the bail out is over.  It is time to save the nation.  It is time to abandon the ideology of the free market.  We can create a new public bank.  After the crisis is over, or after the British Empire is put out of business, we can sell the public bank, or do what is necessary.  This is not about socialism or capitalism, it's about saving the United States from Hell.  Any Harlem NY dude should know that.

Cash for Trash is a Good Name

NY Times Deal Book
This cash for trash program will never work.  Buying garbage with huge government subsidies does not change the fact that this is garbage.  If an NY Times guy like Paul Krugman can see this, I don't know why the Obama administration is going ahead with this.  The Emperor truly has no clothes.

In effect, the US Government or Treasury is paying for 97-percent of the deal.  And then half of the 3-percent of the private money is insured by the gov't.  So who is fooling who?

Dancing with the Stars

Dance Video Boutique

This is the original dancing with the stars.  Go to the Blackpool festival and see great dancers like Bryan Watson and Carmen.  This may be a far distance from Harlem, NY but it is on the border of world culture and really is something that you to know about.  I'm not saying it makes the world better, but it's fun.  More on this at Real Crash .

Harlem's Window on the World

To keep Harlem and the Bronx NY pretty get some custom curtains. The custom curtains, valances and draperies on this site are really something to see. The idea of ordering custom curtains is that you are not limited by some set lengths and you can buy curtains and other products for windows that are very small and those that are very large. That means you can get curtains on that little window in your bedroom that is 20 inches across, or for a huge two-story window of up to 240 inches at my friend's site, http://www.prioritywindows.com .

Some of these window treatments are quite complex, but they could be exactly what that special window in your home needs, like custom board-mounted valances. For this type of special treatment, the width of the window has to be between 46 and 54 inches. You get a fabric covered board at the top of the window, with shaped curtains coming down from the top, also with tassels dangling from the curtains. This is a very special window treatment.

Custom draperies are also for sale. This company has many colors and a total of almost 500 fabrics for sale. Multiply that by many variations in draperies, curtains and valances and you have endless window treatments to choose from. Drapes can have hand-crafted pleats, not using the usual polyester drapery tape. This firm is a specialist in drapes over huge two-story windows of up to 240 inches, which is 20 feet. In a lot of these century-old Harlem buildings and renovations, a lot of skill, design and freedom must be applied to get the window-treatment that is exactly right for you.

Call Up a Thief at AIG, Wilton Connecticut 06897

You can call up a thief at AIG, Wilton Connecticut. Find them at: AIG Financial Products, 50 Danbury Rd Ste 100, Wilton, CT 06897, or call them at 203-222-4700. That's only about an hour drive from Harlem, NY, so get with the program. Now to be honest, the thieving unit is really out of London UK, but still, they seem to get paid out of the United States. We want the list of the guys and girls who got $1-20 million each, even after their thievery was known. You could try to beg these guys for a cut. Better, yet, have the US Gov't declare them bankrupt and make the contracts null and void.

Harlem Motorcycle Dudes

Hey, Harlem NY motorcycle dudes, check out the metric motorcycle community. It's a great website that my friends have for motorcycle dudes, male or female to check out what the action is. Also this site sells a lot of motorbike accessories like motorcycle tires, mirrors, foot-boards, pegs and more.

What I really like about this site, http://community.cruisercustomizing.com are the selection of photos and videos. Even just looking at the photos I get the hot bike feeling. Some of the blog entries are really interesting too like http://blog.motorcycle.com/2009/03/13/design/motorcycle-garage-design/ is a blog post about an apartment house in Japan that is exclusively designed for bikers. Anyone can live there, but the garage is only with little motorbike stalls. Japan must be a cool place for a motor bike guy. I mean it still gets cold and there is rain and snow, but on the bright side, people make it a virtue to live together in crowded conditions, include motorbikes instead of cars. Let's try it out in Harlem, NY, and New York City

Obama Ready for the Four Powers

Harlem, you heard it first here at Harlem Tee Shirt- Obama is ready to get something started as the Four Powers, including the United States, on Afghanistan, but soon, more. The United States is sending a high-level delegation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's conference on Afghanistan, to be held in Moscow March 27, U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Beyrle said in an interview with Voice of Russia radio yesterday. Beyrle said that the U.S. will take an active part in the Moscow conference, and will for the first time send a delegation led by a senior diplomat, because the U.S. wants to take part in international discussions of this common problem. Beyrle also told Voice of Russia that the US and Russia had exchanged proposals on cooperation on the world financial crisis, and had "struck common ground" on a number of points.

There will also be a U.S.-organized United Nations conference on Afghanistan, held in The Hague on March 31, to which US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton invited Iran. Indian senior diplomat M K Bhadrakumar wrote in the Asia Times March 11, that there has been what he termed a "trade off" between Washington and Moscow, to make sure that the two conferences do not work at cross-purposes.

In Moscow, the SCO will focus on the "threats of drugs and terrorists originating in Afghanistan," while the U.N. Conference will have the broader agenda of stabilizing Afghanistan. In effect, the Moscow conference will represent the first step toward a Four Power collaboration, including Russia, China, India, and the U.S., as Lyndon LaRouche has called for in the context of the world economic breakdown crisis.

Iran is also going to participate in these conferences on Afghanistan. Next stop is the new Bretton Woods financial reorganization and an end to the debt overhang and speculation.

Check out the biggest Sweepstake site, my Harlem home-boys and girls. Send text message and win. You can also make money by promoting the links to the sweepstakes. Every time someone clicks on the sweepstake, you win. There are lots of neat prizes for my comrades in the Bronx and Harlem NY. Dance Theater of Harlem still at it

The Dance Theater of Harlem, after 40 years in action is continuing to get rave reviews. It may not be that easy to catch them in Harlem, however. Currently, they are on tour in Kentucky and Ohio. The Dance Theatre of Harlem has seen thousands of black and Latino students pass through its doors, and it continues to push the boundaries of ballet. A good thing to look at is a recent talk show on NPR that is also on line. You can hear the latest from Arthur Mitchell and former prima ballerina, Virginia Johnson being interviewed by Tony Cox. Its school and its touring company are both important institutions.

Dance Theatre of Harlem has achieved unprecedented success, bringing innovative and bold new forms of artistic expression to audiences in New York City, across the country and around the world. In February 2004, DTH celebrated its 35th Anniversary, which began with an extensive U.S. tour and the Company made its inaugural engagement at the Lincoln Center Festival 2003, with the premiere of “St. Louis Woman: A Blues Ballet.” Dance Theatre of Harlem is located at 466 West 152nd Street and should certainly be on the must-see list for all visitors to Harlem and to New York City, NY.

Spoofing Harlem is Fun

If you want to have fun, try some Free Spoofing. You can have a lot of funny things coming up on a cell phone or regular caller ID. Let's say you call somebody and you arrange for the caller ID to say that "Harlem Rules" or "SSS South Bx." There is a lot of fun and the costs are not prohibited. In fact in the case of the first call, the cost is free. You can't get any better than that. But wait, I looked again, actually although the duration of the free call is limited to 2 minutes, there is NO LIMIT to the number of calls that you can make. South South South Bronx!

There is something that is called a No Spoof Registry, but I don't think this is really necessary. I think that it is good that my friends at http://www.FreeSpoofing.com are willing to let everyone know what it's all about. So find out about iSpoof, Spoof Mobile and even how you use these apps to disguise your voice. So get in on the scene, like a Harlem Machine.

Unemployment Blues in Harlem and the Bronx

We're getting the unemployment blues in Harlem and the Bronx. They want you to go for retraining. Your unemployment counselor may not tell you that, but that is the watchword in the media and the NY Times, retrain if it is difficult to get a job in your field. The problem is even if you get in on a non-profit run free retraining problem, technically you lose your unemployment benefits if you are not available for work. You're not available for work if you're in a 35 hour a week computer techie retraining program. You have to get it approved by the Labor Department. So do they really want you to retrain, or is it all "feel good" stupid propaganda?

Don Quixote, Windmills and the South Bronx

Has Don Quixote made his home in the South Bronx? Not that I know of, but a small apartment building in the South Bronx NY, the Melrose district, is being built with $100,000 worth of windmills built in. These windmills or wind turbines as their proponents call them will provide about half the power for the common areas. The costs includes a power plant in the basement, since winds are intermittent. The proponents usually get all sorts of subsidies, though the link on wind power is not talking about that part. Those people always say they are getting a better deal than they really are.

NYC Homeless Prevention Program to be Axed

A forum Thursday evening, February 26th was held at the Citizen’s Advice Bureau to discuss the effects of ongoing cuts in social services. The Bureau put together a panel of staffers, with Ken Small, CAB Development Director as the moderator of the panel. Ms. Chris Winward of the Human Service Council spoke on inequities in the NY State Income Tax system , Julie Belizaire-Spitzer spoke on the effect of eliminating homeless prevention programs, Elisa Istueta spoke on youth issues and Clara Batstein spoke on mobilizing to prevent these cuts. These cuts will have a big impact on the Bronx and Harlem.

The Homeless Prevention Program has been helping families avoid eviction and homelessness. According to Ms. Julie Belizaire-Spitzer, the HPP is currently scheduled for total elimination by the end of March 2009. This cost-effective program prevented more than 6,800 evictions last year. It provides an average of $750 per family involved in rental assistance. When families become homeless, it costs the city an average of $36,000 a year to put them in a shelter. HPP provides help to tenants filing applications for Family Eviction Prevention Supplements. This program costs $5 million throughout the city, but shelter for evicted families ends up costing $100 million a year. Other programs that face dramatic cuts are transportation help for senior citizens, and the senior citizen meals-on-wheels program. The HPP employs 90 people at five Urban Neighborhood Houses, including the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, who are scheduled to be laid-off. When teams of skilled social workers are broken up, it can take months or even years to reconstitute them. Problems trickle up as tenants are evicted. Landlords can have trouble paying their mortgages and more properties suffer foreclosure in the already weak housing market. Other programs affected by cuts in the state and city budget include after-school programs for High School students.

Ms. Chris Winward, of the Human Service Council talked about inequities in NY State Taxes. Currently, she points out that the tax rate for all tax payers is 6.85-percent. She recommends that the wealthy be taxed a larger percentage of their income for state taxes, in order to more fairly distribute the tax burden. With the spotlight recently on huge bonuses received by certain financial executives, this proposal has some definite interest. Despite fears that higher-income people will leave NY State if their taxes are raised, studies indicate that this does not generally happen. For more information, contact the CAB Community Center, 1130 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10456, telephone (718) 508-3069, contact Ken Small.

Pregnant Women of Harlem Find Beauty

It's important for a pregnant woman to find beauty that is safe for the mother and expected child, a Beaute de Maman. Beaute de Maman is the name of a line of beauty products formulated for expectant mothers. The goals of Beaute de Maman are furthered by it being obstetrician developed, natural, herbal and safe. These cosmetics are available in pharmacies in the New York City metropolitan area and in Connecticut, check my friend's website at www.beautedemaman.com , or anyone can order them on the web, to order now here. Harlem NY pregnant women are catching on too. For example, The 90th Street Pharmacy at 1260 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10128 is only a couple of subway stops from 125th Street. This line of products has been recognized in Pregnancy Magazine, as of January 6th 2009.

Check out the products: facial scrub, face and body cream, stretch mark cream, and nipple gel. The last is great for nursing mothers and has no lanolin, instead having an omega 3 fatty acid base.

Beaute de Maman has become a favorite of Hollywood star moms-to-be like Penelope Ann Miller, Salli Richardson-Whitfield (“Eureka”), Chyler Leigh (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Jennifer Blanc. Brooke Mueller Sheen, wife of actor Charlie Sheen, as well as Jane Hajduk, wife of actor Tim Allen, and The Insider’s celebrity correspondent Victoria Recano, can also be counted among expectant Hollywood moms that are using this line of products.

Life on the Cross-Bronx Expressway

In no surprise to New York, Harlem and Bronx drivers, intersections on the Cross-Bronx expressway were rated the worst in the nation. The allegedly worst of the worse is the intersection between the Bronx River Parkway, and the Cross-Bronx Expressway, exit 4B. The organization that did this study, with videotapes and other aids is called Inrix.

From their press release: Inrix identifies traffic congestion by gathering location and speed data from 800,000 commercial vehicles equipped with GPS tracking devices, as well as from state departments of transportation. By comparing that information--which amounts to billions of data points over 47,000 miles of major highways in the country's 100 largest census-defined metropolitan statistical areas--to free-flow speeds, Inrix computes its travel time index.
Click here for a list of the country's 100 most congested intersections. (end)

If it makes you feel good, traffic congestion is down because of the economic slump. Time to build some freight-train maglev trains and really get into the 21st century.
