Problems with the Psoriasis drug Raptiva, Harlem?

Read about the horrors of psoriaosis, which is sort of a chronic immune depression disease, at the website http://www.youhaverights.com/dangerous-drugs/raptiva .

There have been some problems with the popular Psoriasis drug Raptiva. The FDA is saying that some people are getting a brain infection called Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy or PML. Raptiva PML is not the sort of disease that you want to have, if you can help it. If you have been taking this drug, Raptiva learn your rights especially if you think that you are having problems.

When I was a kid, in some circles Psoriasis was a big joke, because it leaves big scaly marks on those who have it, including on their face. This disease is not a joke, since it can lead to other problems such as arthritis and heart disease. The FDA approved the drug Raptiva in 2003. Otherwise, the development of PML has been associated with AIDS patients. If someone in your family has developed this horrible disease, PML, you may want to contact a lawyer and find out about your rights. It should be noted that perhaps millions of people have been taking the drug raptiva, and the number of cases of PML have been small. The association between the disease PML and Raptiva is small, and the outbreak of the disease is rare, but it is something that could happen. At least two people have died, and the drug Raptiva has been associated with meningitis and other diseases.

Bronx Problems at CAB Programs

The ongoing recession, depression is causing intense problems with programs involving the CAB, the Citizens Advice Bureau in the Bronx. The CAB is a huge organization having 27 offices throughout the South Bronx. It's Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) is being eliminated in the new budget of NY State Governor Paterson. This draconian policy can lead to as many as 6,000 extra homeless families. At $35,000 cost per homeless family, if you do the math, that is a potential $100 million extra charge. Unless you plan to shoot these people, or somehow just throw them in the proverbial garbage can. The real estate bubble has come back to roost.

Time is Money

It's nice that you know that you have money coming in, but sometimes time is money. You could need a Fast Pay Day Loan now to pay your rent, a car payment, etc. Being late may not be something that you can afford. Of course, these loans are at high interest rates so it is only something you can do for one or two weeks, not indefinitely. For a longer loan you may be better off getting a credit card, if that is possible, though that still involves a fairly high interest rate. Interest rates vary from state to state. The good thing is that my friends at http://www.paydayloansmania.com offer payday loans in every state where it allowable by law. Harlem boys and girls may want to know about these things, since you can get approved for a payday loan in as little as an hour. The trick is to have a regular job. Then, even if you have bad credit, you can get a payday loan.

Harlem, the Economy and Obama

We want Obama to succeed, and we better give him the policies to do that, Harlem boys and girls. Since July 2007, the systemic crisis of the financial system has been escalating, but only now, with the dramatic declines in the worldwide auto industry—General Motors wants to lay off 47,000 people—and the threat of Opel (GM's German branch) going under, has most of the population and, amazingly enough, also the so-called "experts," finally realized that we are really in a crisis that, in its economic dimensions and potential political consequences, goes far beyond the Great Depression of the 1930s. Many trillions of dollars of liquidity have been pumped into the rotten banking system since August 2007, without doing a thing to stop the collapse of the real economy. In fact, we are in a breakdown crisis of the world economy, which will continue until Lyndon LaRouche's proposed reorganization is carried out. Home Owner and Bank Protection Act, Now, baby. You know, Martin Luther King never got one election vote, and yet he changed America and the world. That's why Obama has to listen to Larouche.

Racial Integration in Harlem, NY

There has been quite a bit of racial integration in Harlem, NY. For many long time residents, this is frightening, because the new white newcomers are coming in with the real estate bubble and making things more expensive. Now, presumably, the fall of the bubble will bring some foreclosures with it too.

The "Village of Harlem" has changed a lot. The integration may be exciting, but older residents can be priced out of the neighborhood. Soon, they will be moving to the South Bronx, and increasing rents there as well. There has been tensions and some weird situations. If you are white, are there barbers who know how to cut your straight hair in harlem? Can you buy fine wine in stores with plexiglass and security, and line-ups for small bottles of hard liquor?

Some of the young white people seem to like living in Harlem, NY. If they have kids, do they send them to public schools? It seems this experiment in integration is one that is quite expensive. Note that in the 1980s, the white population of Central Harlem was only about 1 percent, but now it is over 10 percent.

Surf the Web with Complete Anonymity by Proxy

You can surf the web with complete anonymity by proxy with this new service. It's brought to you by my friends from http://vpnomania.com/proxy-surf.html/. Now why the average law abiding harlem dude has to do that is beyond me, but if you have to, here it is. I guess the idea is that freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose, and you can't lose your identity in anonymity. Just surf by proxy, but don't always make love by proxy. That is not the Harlem and South Bronx way, dudes.

The Serrano Political Family on Black History

Congressman José E. Serrano and State Senator José M. Serrano today honored two local leaders for Black History Month. The honorees were Angela E. Randall, who served 37 years at the Hunts Point Multi-Service Center, providing thousands of children with quality and affordable healthcare; and Dr. Neville A. Parker who, most recently as Director of the CUNY Institute for Transportation Systems. "I can think of no better way to celebrate Black History Month than to honor these two outstanding citizens," said Congressman Serrano. "Their work in their respective fields exemplifies the meaning of the word service. I salute them both. As we celebrate their achievements we are also still celebrating the great step forward our nation took this year, in electing our first African-American president. Our national journey on race continues, but we have surely matured a great deal since the civil rights movement a few short decades ago."

"Though we celebrate Black History Month just once a year, leaders like Ms. Randall and Dr. Neville are making contributions every day," said Senator Serrano. "The families I represent in Manhattan and the Bronx are living a better life and breathing cleaner air thanks to our two honorees." Congressman José E. Serrano has represented the Bronx in Congress since 1990. Senator José M. Serrano represents the 28th State Senate District, which includes neighborhoods in the South Bronx, East Harlem, Yorkville, and Roosevelt Island.

Harlem and Vicodin Addiction Treatment

Suffering from vicodin addiction is a serious business, even for Harlem dudes. Vicodin is a synthetic opiate that also contains the pain-relieving drug acetominophen. Learn about the Waismann method for rapid detoxing off of this drug. The Waismann methods put patients under light anesthesia until their withdrawal symptoms are over. That way you don't have to draw out the inevitable. You get the horse out in one sitting and then the torture and agony and that Harlem Boy NY experience is over.

The drug, vicodin is commonly prescribed for severe pain, and it also is a powerful cough suppressant. While there are not too many people running around the streets of Harlem and the Bronx, New York trying to score Vicodin, the effects can be disturbing nonetheless. It is usually a very bad idea anyway to be addicted to a drug for a person's whole life.

Withdrawal symptoms from Vicodin can be a real bummer and quite a mess. When you stop taking it you are suffering such withdrawal symptoms as muscle and bone pain, insomnia, restlessness, diarrhea and all that other fun stuff.

Withdrawal is a bit more complicated because it is not only a physical experience but a psychological one as well. Getting rid of pain with no gain becomes part of the lifestyle. While more sordid drug addicts must shoot up, vicodin addicts take their pills and then merrily hang out at the neighborhood Starbucks or other coffee shop, go to the Magic Johnson Theatre on 125th St. and look like they are enjoying life. Until they get the damn Jones again and need to get another fix. Yes, the nightmare of drug addiction is the same no matter what the method of introducing the drug or the socio-economic by-products of it.

Hunts Point Black History Month Party

Last night there was a fun Hunts Point Black History Month party at the Point, located at 940 Garrison Ave., a block down from Hunts Point Avenue, in the South Bronx. This was a fun and stimulating event. I especially liked the short money played at the beginning. To funny music, the pictures and tapes came by of history. First there was the tape of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech from the 1963 Civil Rights March on Washington. Then that segued to a short speech by Barack Obama, that we are not going to tell a young black fellow anymore that reading a book is "acting white."

Harlem Premium Wordpress Bloggers

Try checking out some of these premium wordpress themes. It's pretty neat, your blog gets automatically a theme, and a complete package. These are really fancy, like for a Harlem or Bronx pizza place or a Church. There are two sample thematic blogs that you can just plug-in real nice on the theme of a pizza place and on that of an active jumping Church. The amount of thumbnails of pages of a blog, or a regular website are just extraordinary. Why didn't I think about using something like this before? I feel really stupid running the stupid and ordinary blogs that I do, so I am going to have to work on this one for a while. Give a good look at the theme demo to understand the possibilities for your blog at WPRemix.

Just one jump page that I was looking at was remarkable. It had a very succint layout, and beautiful pictures of pastoral scenery. This site has been running for 14 months and has become an authority in the blogging world. Also note that the affiliate program payout has just increased to 50% from 20% at the start of last week, so this could be something for you to promote and make money doing.

Places for Free Tax Help in South Bronx

In the South, South Bronx, just across the Harlem River from Harlem, there are lots of places that want to help us poor folk out. Check out the Ariva tax help. I think it is safe to go to the Checkpoint Bank and get your taxes done there, if you make less than $50,000 a year. It's at Checkpoint Bank, which is located at East 167th St and Gerard Ave, 69 East 167th St. to be exact, only a block up from the #4 Train, the Jerome Avenue line.

Cell Phones for Free

The idea of Sprint cell phones for free is enough to make me sing a song. As a Harlem and Bronx homeboy I do have some requirements in my relations, like this:

You must have a cell phone, to be my girl.
You must have your own cell phone, to rule my world.
In this jivy jumbled world for happiness;
I need you with a cell phone, to locate, your, Kiss;
(sing to the old Prince song)

So, if you don't have a cell phone, you better check out the Sprint valentine's day special. And yes, you have to sign a contract to get a free phone. What do you think this is, never, never land? Still all and all I think it is a pretty good contract and deal. The free phone is an LG CU920 and is the newest, grooviest touch-screen phone. It's so much fun, you may forget for a while that the world economic system, at least globalized Anglo-Dutch-Saudi style, is going broke and out of existence. So you better get a phone and call somebody about that too.

Black History Fun in Bronx and Harlem

There is some Black History fun to be had at the Point Organization, thepoint.org, on this Feb. 13th at 6:30 pm. It is a complicated series of singing, poetry and various other acts, but the big advantage is that it is free at 940 Garrison Ave., off Hunts Point Ave., in the South, South Bronx. Another fun event is the Dominican Day event at Hostos College at Grand Concourse and 149th St., on Sat. 5pm on Feb, 21st. There is probably more fun stuff in Harlem, but I can't seem to find the Harlem Community News these days. Anyone see it?

From Florida to Harlem NY

The real estate foreclosures are hitting hard in New York too, and that includes commercial real estate. Now take a look at what is going on in a place like Ft. Meyers Florida, on the Gulf Coast not far from Tampa and St. Petersburg, Fla. This area, particularly, Lehigh Acres Florida was built up very rapidly since 5 or 10 years ago. Now the bottom has literally fallen out of the market, with homes selling for $100,000 that were selling a few years ago for $300,000. Shouldn't the federal government intervene and freeze the mortgages and have homeowners pay reasonable rental payments until the market sorts out over a couple of years. Then write down the mortgages to reasonable values. Many people will have to abandon the area because there is no work in the area. So the government is going to have to create work there too. Harlem dudes, that is something to think about.

Don't Let Junk Mail Ruin your Harlem Groove

Don't let junk mail ruin your Harlem groove. You can End Junk Mail now. There are 500 memberships to the privacy council, that ends your junk mail and you can get them for free, because these 500 memberships are being given away. The Privacy Council promises to get you off of all mail, email and junk mail as well as telemarketing list. Think how much crap you get, my New York homeboys and homegirls, usually from racist right-wingers hiding out in the Cayman Islands. If they are not hiding out there, their bank accounts are.
